MiTO is a platform for the exchange of preclinical model data relevant in translational cancer research.
It allows scientists to enter their models and browse existing models. The database provides three categories of models:
- Cell lines
- Animal lines genetically modified organisms including reporter and recombinase strains
- Tumor models including records of metastasis sites and intervention protocols
To protect intellectual property, scientists in charge define the accessibility of their models.
Tumor model: SOP: DMBA/TPA-induced multi-step skin carcinogenesis protocol (C57BL6/N)
description Induction of benign papillomas and squamous cell carcinomas (SCC) by the combined treatment of a subcarcinogenic dose of the polycyclic hydrocarbon dimethyl-benz-a-anthracene (DMBA) and the phorbolester 12-O-tetradecanoyl-phobol-13-acetate (TPA).
Animal line: C57BL/6NCrl
species Mouse (Mus musculus)
